The Frog
This is an animation I did for the frog story.
Background drawn by Mia Bunn (one of my group members.)
Animated frog was done by me.
Thoughtful
An observational watercolor study I did back in November. Sorry for the late upload! I will be uploading more sketches and drawings now that I'm in winter break! :)

Warm-ups
Warm-up sketches! I was trying to show my twin how to do warm-ups from observation. Out of the six post-it notes I used, these two were my favorite.
Disneyland
My twin and I went to Disneyland yesterday. We were invited by one of our best friends from middle school. He is currently interning at Disneyland California Adventure and will be returning home in January. We hadn't seen him for two years and it was a great time to catch up. We met his incredible best friend, and she acts so much like him! I had a wonderful time and we ended up going to both resorts for free! :D

Legolas Design
Taking a break from school and did a simple design of Legolas! He's a character from Peter Jackson's films The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
I'm a fan of Tolkien's Trilogy books and The Hobbit, so I'm really excited for the new movie to come out in December!
I based off Legolas' pose from here. (My twin sister showed it to me.)

Frog Story
A Glowing Curiosity
I thought I uploaded this awhile ago, but I may have accidentally deleted it. Sorry about that! So here's an old panel I did for one of my classes. It was a story idea I thought of, a rather simple one. Since it ended up being a grouped project, the story changed and so did my characters. The main idea stayed: A frog tries catching a firefly.

Another Practice
A boy opens the front door to a sound from outside.
Another Sleepy Hollow quick color study! For practice purposes, I changed the colors to a brighter one (the top image) since I wanted to change the overall setting.

Old Memories
Day 10 of Inktober is here!!
I wanted to own a Vespa Scooter when I was younger. I then discovered their lack of umbrellas, heaters and air conditioning for rain and weather. The silly thing was, I changed to wanting a very large dog to ride on.

Color Practice
15 to 30 minutes each |
1 to 2 hours each |
I finally got around to watching the new Fox show "Sleepy Hollow". I decided to color a few of my favorite shots to practice with color and painting digitally. I also timed myself and my favorite one I did is the post-it note on the coffee machine. Hope you like it!

Gouache Painting
Figure Painting! The workshop focused on color-my weakest point- and the poses were long, which is also something I'm not used to. I chose the ones I liked best, but I must practice more!

Figure Drawing
Figure Drawing I did two days ago. The model was amazing! I've been wanting to draw him for awhile since I've seen some amazing poses from Otis' student drawings.
The top two is the same pose, I just used marker for the first minute or so just to get the feel of it. (I had to add the heart.)

Workshop
I went to a workshop yesterday at Otis College of Art and Design. I wasn't used to drawing long poses since I usually do 30 second to 10 minute poses from drawing people outside of class. The second drawing is a 20 minute pose and I forgot to finish the model's right foot!
A doodle break. I'm obsessed with toads at the moment. (The same with frogs.) I find their exterior cute and squishy looking.

L.A. Zoo
I went to the L.A. Zoo on Thursday. I did a few sketches of the animals there and I decided to color the ones I liked. I only had a chance to draw the zebra once since there were a lot of excited kids everywhere.

Diamond Girl
It felt like a long time drawing on a tablet, but it has been less than a week. Days have been slow. I tested to see if I can still a doodle in photoshop- yep I still can. :)

Pigeon Bending
Yesterday my friend cosplayed as Korra from the animated series Avatar: The Legend of Korra. She started "pigeon bending" which requires you to sway your arms in a flowing motion and scare pigeons away.

Summer Class
Sadly, my summer class ended on Thursday. I enjoyed it very much and decided to show you some projects I had to work on.
The top painting was done using split-complementary colors, in which I used orange, blue-violet, and blue-green. The bottom two are designs I painted using curves and lines on the left one and circles and lines on the other.
