I tried to imitate a pixelated dream I had. It was really neat, especially the colors! Too bad I can't really remember most of it or what it was about.

Kick

A night doodle for today. I can't believe it's almost April!

Figure Drawing

As I waited for the model to arrive, I sketched out the guitarist who played during the beginning of the session.

         

                                               

I did a figure drawing session at the YWCA in Santa Monica. The session began with two to five minute sketches and then ten to fifteen minute sketches.

Color Theory

My color theory homework assignment. It's based on California Impressionism and I had to repaint the original painting into a digital version of it. Took me forever but it was worth it.

Charcoal

It's been awhile since I did a charcoal drawing, so I did a ten minute profile view of my little sister. Still need some practice!

Billy

Class

This is a drawing done in photoshop during my animation class. You can spot me peeking over the cintiq. 

Pocket sketches

Here is Jasper! He was slept in different positions and whenever he was in the same pose, I continued drawing the background until  he changed his sleeping position again.

These are sketches of the neighbor's cat I drew in my pocket sketch book. 

Ole Man Ellie

Ellie is my next door neighbor. He brought over some homemade bread for us, which my sister took gratefully. It was tasted delicious.

Goat

A friend of mine had a pet goat named Pepito for awhile. I sketched Pepito out first and then retraced the drawings on photoshop and added a little bit of color. I wished I sketched out how Pepito acted more like a dog than a goat (though I'm not sure what goats are supposed to act like but the idea of goats chewing clothes comes to mind).

This is the finalized image of Homura. I was going to leave it as it was before, but I felt it was too compressed in the first one. Enjoy!

Homura

I felt like painting Homura, a character from Madoka Magica. I never drew characters from shows (though perhaps it's because I don't remember doing so), or really done any fanart. 

The bottom image one is from a scene in my boards and also felt it was compatible to my own way of celebrating "Paperman" being public on youtube. :)

The one on the left may or may not be another character in one of my stories. 

Spot

My neighbor visited today so I had a chance to sketch her dog Spot.  He is an old poodle with a white spot on his chest--hence where his name came from.

Doodle of a girl I babysat for a day. She looks a bit older here. 

Thomas

I was babysitting a red-eared slider turtle on new year's. I find "Thomas the Turtle" adorable! I sketched him as he slept.
